Hi y’all. It’s Lorenza.

As you may recall, Friday was my final day as the CharlotteFive intern who fervently loved barbecue and BTS. I now come to you as the new and improved freelance writer for CharlotteFive who still loves barbecue and BTS. As the seasons change, so do my roles, but what doesn’t change is my love for an ice cold, tasty treat.

A few weeks ago, we released a poll for the best ice cream shop in Charlotte. I would now like to announce that the winner of the CharlotteFive Reader’s Choice Best Ice Cream contest is (drumroll please) Artisen Gelato!

The colder mornings and the scorching hot afternoons mean only one thing, fall is coming. After getting a few scoops of gelato, prepare for the incoming fall season with some good old classic apple picking. As an avid apple pie maker and lover, I quite appreciate the fall season solely for apples. The versatile little fruits can be pied, candied, bobbed and picked. 

Now if you excuse me, I need to go mark my calendar for apple picking season while eating some gelato.
